Despoina Sarafeidou from Greece, announced for
"Actor of Europe 2012"
Jubilee 10th edition of the International Theater Festival "Actor of Europe 2012", started at 6th July in the beautiful Saraj building in Resen, Prespa with the French play "The Grand Inquisitor", directed by famous director Peter Brook, in performance of the actor Bruce Myers.
On the opening ceremony their addresses had Mr. Branislav Micunovic Zaga - Minister of culture of Montenegro and Honorary President of the Council of the Festival, Mr. Hajdin Abazi - Deputy Minister of culture of Kosovo, Mr. Mihail Volkanovski - Mayor of Resen Municipality and Mr. Jordan Plevnes - President of the council of the festival and Rector of University of audiovisual arts ESRA.
In all addresses common conclusion was that this festival beside artistic values and qualities, have dimension of braking the borders and establishing collaboration between all Balkan and Europe countries.
Honorary President of the Council of the Festival, Mr. Branislav Micunovic Zaga, awarded Mr. Bruce Myers with the honorary award "Actor of Europe and Mediterranean 2012".
On the opening ceremony also were presented poems by most famous Balkan poets as: Ivo Andrić, Nikos Kazantzakis, Ismail Kadare, Blaže Koneski, Petar II Petrović-Njegoš, Mihai Eminescu, Peyo Yavorov, Laza Kostić, Abdulah Sidran...
Opening night was enriched by appearance of opera singer Besiana Mehmedi, with perfomance of one classical and one song from Albanian tradition.
In the next days between 6th and 11th July festival continued with the performances "My petit Officer" from Kosovo, "Lover" from Macedonia, "Kasandra" from Greece, "Bog te mazo" from Serbia, "Dissident it goes without saying" from France, "Mercury" from Bulgaria, "No Shadow" from Austria, "The Case of Inge M." from Slovenia and "Two Lazarus, Russian Apocrypha" from Russia.
The Jury consisted from Mr. Blagoj Stefanovski - President of the Jury and members Marija Pupucevska and Vasilka Bumbarova, decided to award following actors and performances:

- Main award "ACTOR OF EUROPE 2012" was given to Despoina Sarafeidou, for the performance in the mono-drama "Kassandra"
- Award "THE BEST PERFORMANCE 2012" was given to the theater play "The Case of Inge M." from Slovenia
- Award "BEST CIRCUIT BETWEEN TRADITIONAL AND MODERN" was given to the performance "Two Lazarus. Russian Apocrypha" from Russia.
- Award "JACQUES LACARRIERE" for acting as dialogue between civilizations was given to Lalish theatre from Vienna, for the performance "No Shadow"
